Can't Steal My Dreams

I try so hard
to squish my dreams
to hold them back
tethered
i've been taught well
that my dreams
are not supposed to come true
that they are frivolous
dumb
irresponsible
and yet....
dream i do.
in living color
can't wait to see them come true.
