Our lives are a journey that we walk together not in order to become "good christian women," but rather to draw near to God so that we can reflect His light to those around us. Our stories, our paths, our dreams and our message are all unique. But we hold hands and walk boldly, fearlessly......onward...creating joy, hope, faith and peace in our wake.

Don't Be Afraid

Philippians 4:6-7

The Message (MSG)
6-7Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Philippians 4:6-7

New International Version (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Don't be afraid.  Don't be afraid, for the battle isn't yours, but it's Gods. Don't be afraid.  Don't be afraid, for the battle isn't yours but it's Gods.
This is a little song that came from a children's play many years ago.  I sang it over and over again.  Let it soak in.  This life is not my battle....it is His workmanship.  And it is His battle.  Which, by the way, He already won.

I love The Message translation of Phil 4:6...don't FRET.  A word my friend uses with me. Fret not.  Ah.  What peace is in that.  No need to worry.  To panic.  To freak.  Instead...pray....throw every emotion, need, hope, dream right there on your prayer pile.  Because peace will come.  And that peace will stand guard over your heart...over my heart....and over our minds.  I love that.  And the best part?  I know it's true.  It works.
Don't be afraid...it doesn't mean not to feel a sense of fear...it means...don't dwell on it...take it to God.
He loves you.  He'll guard you.
blessings.
