when i write

i write.
because when i write i feel the presence of god.
it brings a deep sense of pleasure.
of peace.
when i write
i connect with who i am
with who made me.
when i write,
all problems are solvable
all difficulties are temporary.
when i write
it allows me to sift through my head
and my heart
it gives me time
when i write
i can pull together what i know
in my head
to what i feel in my heart
and i can cry freely
without apology
when i write
i can laugh hysterically
and not have to explain what was funny
i can see beauty
that's the hardest thing to explain
it's not simply about showing
beauty to others
but about exploring it for myself
it's a spiritual experience for me.
when i write
i am whole.
i am not famous.
i probably will never be.
but when i write,
i find who i can be.
who i am
and i can plan
and plot
to grow
to change
and that brings me joy.
it's
me.
when i write
i breathe
smile
i feel my being relax
refresh
when i write
i feel god whispering
"this is who you are"
so
i will write.
