Our lives are a journey that we walk together not in order to become "good christian women," but rather to draw near to God so that we can reflect His light to those around us. Our stories, our paths, our dreams and our message are all unique. But we hold hands and walk boldly, fearlessly......onward...creating joy, hope, faith and peace in our wake.

Treasure Seeker

I'm a trash picker.  Bin diver.  Auction hound.  I love the pursuit of treasure.  But, to me, treasure is often in the form of what an object can become.  It's seeing with new eyes.  It's choosing beauty over ugly.  It's a good trait in me.  It helps me in daily life.  And the treasure of life, peace, joy, hope, patience, kindness and all of those other treasures...they have to be pursued with just as great a tenacity.
When I go to an auction, my butt gets tired of sitting on the chair.  There is a tension in when to bid and how high to go.  There are choices of what to give up in order to get something else.  There is the knowledge that others would like to steal my treasure.  But, I go.  And, I enjoy it. That's how I have to view life right now.  I have to show up.  I have to actively pursue my treasures.  I have to hope.  I have to be willing to bid.  I have to risk loss.  Pain.  Because at the end of the auction, it's always worth it.  And usually the only regrets are the times that I didn't go for it.  My life is like that.  My Treasure is Him.  He Himself wants me to seek Him.  To put everything out there for Him.  To attain Him
I am a treasure seeker.  And though in a hard place in the search, my body is tired, my soul ready to call it a day....I know that there are treasures that I have yet to attain.  And so I continue on.  Because I am a Treasure seeker.
blessings.
